The DiSTI Corporation has released VE Studio 6.0, the latest version of its virtual training development platform. The update introduces full feature parity between desktop and virtual reality (VR) environments, a new Explore Mode for interactive learning, and several performance, security, and usability enhancements.

VE Studio 6.0’s new Explore Mode enables instructors and students to pause lessons and directly interact with 3D models. Users can manipulate components, rotate assemblies, create cutaways, and view cross-sections and exploded views without disrupting lesson progress.

The release delivers full parity between desktop and VR environments. Developers can now create training lessons once and deploy them across Windows Desktop, wired VR, and mobile VR platforms with consistent functionality.

Other new features include the VR Component Locator, VR Fast-Find View, and VR Schematics, which improve navigation and training workflows in immersive environments. Updates to development tools such as the Requirements Analyzer, Fidelity Matrix UI, Test Driver, and Training Assistant are intended to provide a smoother development experience.

VE Studio 6.0 is built on Unity 6, offering improved performance and compatibility with Windows 11. DiSTI also conducted a review of open-source libraries to remove outdated dependencies and address security vulnerabilities.

For defense customers, Explore Mode supports real-time demonstration of system internals and functionality, aiding the understanding of complex layouts and subsystems. Commercial users can benefit from scalable VR training capabilities that can be deployed across multiple devices and environments.

This release is the first major update to VE Studio since 2023. DiSTI continues development under its DiSTI Common Core architecture initiative to support future platform enhancements.
