NUH-60-2

CATI Training Systems (CATI), a specialist in innovative Image Generator and Simulation Solutions, have completed a major visual system upgrade of the NUH-60FS Black Hawk Flight Simulator for the United States Army Aeromedical Research Laboratory (USAARL) at Fort Rucker, AL.

The upgrade included facility renovation, removal of the existing visual system, installation of a new visual display system (including new collimated display, support structure and projectors), engineering, and integration. CATI partnered with RSi Visual Systems, Inc. (RSi) to deliver a full-motion CrossView 10R collimated optical display system with chin windows.

The new simulator Image Generator System (IGS) features state of the art PC hardware and 12 channels of CATI X-IG® v4.1.

The USAARL is located at Fort Rucker, AL, the home of Army aviation. It is one of six laboratories within the U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel Command. USAARL was established in 1962 to provide direct aviation medical research support to all Army Aviation and airborne activities. USAARL owns, maintains, and operates a Black Hawk flight simulator (NUH-60FS) for conducting human factor research focused on the performance and survival of rotary wing Warfighters.
