VRgluv Hands Over First Haptic Gloves to ECS

VRgluv has delivered its first set of haptic gloves to Engineering & Computer Simulations (ECS) in support of the U.S. Army. VRgluv’s CEO Chris Taylor marked the delivery with a formal ceremonial presentation to Waymon Armstrong, CEO/president of ECS.

The gloves provide a powerful sense of touch to various virtual reality (VR) and extended reality (XR) platforms with ground-breaking haptic technologies that enable realistic touch, force feedback, and precise motion tracking. The wireless haptic gloves not only improve the virtual reality experience, but also ensure trainees have a more realistic learning experience.

ECS will be integrating the gloves into a military research program in support of the Army's Development Command Soldier Center (DEVCOM SC) Simulation and Training Technology Center (STTC) located in Orlando, Florida.

Bill Pike, Ph.D., Science and Technology Manager with STTC, was also in attendance for the presentation and commented on the evolution and improvements that VRgluv has achieved. “This is definitely a step in our push forward to provide the best training to our Warfighters, especially in the medical field,” Pike said. "Our goal is to see these gloves looking like what the  Warfighters already wear, and these are definitely getting closer.”
