Contracted by CAE USA, TREALITY SVS recently completed the critical reskinning of a film mirror collimator supporting T-44C PEGASUS aircrew training services at NAS Corpus Christi, Texas.

Film mirror collimators are prevalent in both civilian and military aircrew training. However, deploying and sustaining acceptable film mirrors is a highly specialized skill few can provide with the consistency and visual performance required by end-users. A poorly installed film mirror can render a high value simulator useless, says TREALITY.

TREALITY’s patented CD2260 film mirrors utilize advanced installation techniques resulting in extremely high mirror accuracy, and TREALITY film mirrors have a proven track record of durability, with many of the film mirror collimators delivered over 10 years ago still in operation with no down time or intervention required.

“The T-44C re-skin effort is a great example of how we support customers like CAE USA.  We were able to respond quickly to install a new film mirror that corrected collimator deficiencies and improved overall visual performance with minimal downtime and no adverse impact on the critical T-44C training that CAE USA provides to the Chief of Naval Air Training,” said Mark Saturno, TREALITY’s President.
