US Army Hosts First Combat Training Center Exercise in Hawaii

The 25th Infantry Division (ID) is conducting its large-scale training exercise called Joint Pacific Multinational Training Center (JPMRC) 22-01, until 28 October, for the first time on the islands of Oahu and Hawaii. JPMRC 22-01 is a Home-station Combat Training Center (HS-CTC) rotation that will build combat readiness in America’s Pacific Division.

Supported by the Joint Readiness Training Center (JRTC) and the Joint Pacific Multinational Readiness Capability (JPMRC), 25th ID will set a new precedent by hosting the first HS-CTC in the U.S. Army. This rotation will save significant resources and time while maximizing training in the challenging jungle and maritime environment with joint and multinational partners. The Army as is planning 20 HS-CTC rotations for brigade-sized formations, and for the first time it will include one focused on jungles and maritime in Hawaii, and another focused on Arctic capabilities in Alaska.

The 25th Infantry Division’s 3rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team along with elements of the 25th Combat Aviation Brigade, 25th Division Artillery, and 25th Division Sustainment Brigade will conduct JPMRC 22-01 to train on critical skills.

Training will include use of blank ammunition and explosive simulators during daytime and nighttime hours in the following Army training areas: Dillingham Army Airfield, Kahuku Training Area, Kawailoa Mountain Ranges, Helemanu Plantation and Schofield Barracks East Range.
