As another year draws to a close, we once again have a chance to reflect on the achievements and challenges our industry has conquered over the last 12 months.  It’s been an intense journey, embracing and learning new technologies in our 4th industrial revolution, whilst facing huge global challenges with the Ukraine war, inflation, workforce, supply chains and new technologies, both a threat and an opportunity.

The world is at an economic, strategic and technological inflection point, with defence forces under pressure to act now to embrace emerging technology, create flexible organisations and above all recalibrate to face a more conventional form of combat.  It’s a time to take bold action, adapt and transform.

The organisations equipped to plan, acquire and sustain the best military forces to carry out their strategies in this period of change will be those that seek and harness the most effective ideas and partners from across their respective defence ecosystems.  The risks and threats to citizens now transcend physical and virtual borders and require a collaborative approach to ensuing that future generations are protected.

Our goal at Halldale remains to be the catalyst and hub for simulation training  discussion and progress and this last year has shown us that the industry needs more support than ever to overcome todays challenges for tomorrow’s security.

So rather than look back, we’re looking to the future, building and shaping 2023 activities to meet the needs of our simulation training community.
