Echo Healthcare is offering the first-of-its-kind, a Lifecast Body Simulation training manikin specifically focused on inclusive training and managing a child patient with Down Syndrome. This realistic training manikin represents 7-year-old girl with Down Syndrome and provides learners with an accurate means of recognizing, treating and training for a child with Down Syndrome.

The Gwen manikin has many common physical and anatomical traits of children with Down Syndrome, which allows healthcare providers an accurate way to provide clinical training and an efficient way of understanding unintentional potential harm, including head tilting and chin lifting.

Developed in partnership with Lifecast Body Simulation Ltd, The University of Greenwich, The Down Syndrome Association, and of course Gwen and her wonderful family. Gwen's mother hopes to diversify medical training based on a real fear- a medical professional who doesn't understand her daughter's needs or hasn't been properly trained.
