The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) is training with 14 participating nations as part of the Indus Shield 2023 aerial exercises.

The participating nations include Pakistan, Turkiye, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE, Egypt, Oman, Bahrain, Azerbaijan, Indonesia, Morocco, Uzbekistan, China and Hungary.

Indus Shield-2023 will foster a greater understanding and collaboration in the realm of aerial defense and address contemporary aerial defense challenges, the PAF said in a release.

The PAF is operating its newly acquired Chengdu J-10C fighters along with JF-17s, along with some of its unmanned assets; while the Turkish Air Force and Royal Saudi Air Force are taking part with their F-16s and F-15s respectively.

The exercises, which will be conducted for two weeks, are underway at an operational air base of the PAF.
