Epic Flight Academy, which is based in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, held a grand opening at its third satellite flight school location in Tucson, Arizona. The event took place on 27 October 2023. The Tucson Metro Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony and presented Epic with a proclamation. CommuteAir pilots brought in an Embraer ERJ-145 jet to celebrate the occasion. Members of the public attended and enjoyed refreshments, tours, and discovery flights.

Danny Perna, Epic’s founder and CEO said, “Tucson has been a great choice as another location for us. The climate and airspace are perfect for flight training.”

Epic Flight Academy has been training airline pilots since 1999. Training typically takes about one year for U.S. students with no flight experience. International students may complete their training faster depending on the requirements of their respective countries.
