In this special I/ITSEC 2025 preview episode of AI in Action, host Andy Fawkes, Special Correspondent at Halldale, leads a candid discussion on the challenges shaping military training and simulation ahead of the world's biggest military training event in Florida, from December 1-4th.

Joining Andy are industry leaders who will all be exhibiting at I/ITSEC:

  • Murat Kose, Chief Executive Officer at Quantum3D,

The panel dives into the hot topics shaping defence training: legal hurdles, spiralling costs, and what Oliver calls “tech waffle”, buzzwords masking solutions that lack real operational value. Concerns were raised that some vendors may be exploiting defence budgets under the guise of innovation.

Legal and IP issues are emerging as major obstacles. Oliver warns that without clear rules on AI data use and copyright, procurement could stall. Murat adds that price factors and data access remain critical challenges, while Paddy stresses the need for healthy skepticism when evaluating AI-driven tools.

Despite the hype, AI is making real strides, from predictive analytics and adaptive learning platforms to generative AI for terrain and behaviour modelling.

Each panelist previews what their company will showcase at I/ITSEC, from UAV simulators and dome projection systems to advanced analytics and next-gen simulation platforms.

Tune in to AI in Action for this I/ITSEC 2025 preview and hear industry insights on what’s real, what’s noise, and what questions military buyers should be asking on the show floor.
