Skyborne is recruiting multi engine (ME) flight instructors to support thriving operations at its Gloucestershire Airport base.

The hiring drive follows a series of prestigious airline partnerships for the academy, including its selection as the official UK partner for British Airways’ first Speedbird Pilot Academy.

“In a heavily regulated industry, disrupting it isn’t easy, but at Skyborne we lead by challenging norms and through innovations in pilot selection, training delivery, funding solutions and customer excellence," said Paul Fabian, managing director at Skyborne UK.

“Five years on, Skyborne is going from strength to strength, recruiting record numbers of staff and trainees for our growing number of cadet programmes. These ME flight instructors will fuel the next stage of our development as we continue to redefine the airline industry and deliver world-class pilots.”

ME flight instructors at Skyborne will enjoy enhanced compensation and benefits, including an industry-leading salary of £55,000 based on a 600-hour flight target, a £200 bonus for every flight hour over 600 achieved (up to a maximum of £10,000 annually), a £1,000 sign-on bonus, £100,000 loss of licence cover and Vitality health care. Relocation packages are also available.

Fabian continues: “Our Gloucestershire base really does offer the whole package. With state-of-the-art facilities in a picturesque location combining the best of city and country life, it’s perfect for career instructors searching for a new family home.

Skyborne operates from strategic locations at Gloucestershire Airport and Vero Beach, Florida in the United States with a fleet that includes the very best training aircraft and flight simulators.
