The LAPD initiated the purchase process for this advanced Flight Simulation Training Device (FSTD) on 1 February, according to Aviation Week. Once installed at the LAPD's downtown heliport, the simulator will replicate urban environments with precise detail, enhancing training realism for forced landings and law enforcement missions. Loft Dynamics' cloud-based software will enable regular updates and its full-motion technology provides realistic flight conditions to support pilot proficiency.
