Exercise Cope Tiger 2024, which recently concluded at Korat Air Base, Thailand marked the 30th anniversary of the trilateral exercise.

This year’s edition held from 18 - 28 March featured participation from the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF), the Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF) and the US Air Force (USAF).

RSAF Exercise Director, Colonel Sebastian Chai said, "Exercise Cope Tiger is important to the RSAF for two key reasons. First, the large training airspace in Thailand gives us the opportunity to conduct realistic high-end large force employment training to hone our operational competencies, something that we cannot replicate in Singapore. Second, this exercise also provides the opportunity for us to interact and also to learn from our Royal Thai Air Force and US Air Force counterparts and also strengthen the excellent defense relations with our partners.”

Cope Tiger 2024 witnessed the deployment of 77 air assets, with the RSAF deploying 27 aircraft, including the maiden exercise appearance of its H225M medium-lift helicopters. USAF F-35As also took part in the exercises for the first time. In all over 2,000 took part in the exercises, engaging in large-scale air defense and strike missions in a challenging environment.
