BAA Training, has entered into a strategic partnership with Luxair, in which the airline will enroll selected pilots in BAA Training’s ATPL Integrated program at its Lleida-Alguaire facilities in Spain, with training financed by Luxair.

“Amidst the aviation industry’s pressing pilot shortage, Luxair's proactive initiative to fund pilot training directly addresses this critical need,” said Marijus Ravoitis, CEO of BAA Training. “We are committed to meeting this demand, leveraging our expertise and expanding infrastructure in Spain.”

Luxair will annually nominate candidates for training at BAA Training, with the inaugural group commencing training in April 2024.

BAA Training’s primary flight base in Lleida-Alguaire International Airport will host Luxair’s pilot training. Expansion plans include additional flight bases slated for launch in 2024, with further expansions across Europe in 2025 and 2026. The company has recently invested in 48 Cessna 172 Skyhawk aircraft to bolster its fleet.
