Air India is on the verge of finalising negotiations with Airbus to establish the largest pilot training center in South Asia, according to a report by Indian news portal Swarajya.
The aviation industry has an excellent record of flight safety – due, in part, to stringent pilot medical standards. However, it is possible that some of these standards could be outdated or unnecessarily strict.
The British Airline Pilots’ Association, the UK’s biggest pilot union, says that it is seeing some positions being filled by pilots who have not previously held commercial flying positions.
The first four aircraft, out of a total of eight to be delivered, are equipped with a cockpit specially designed for the Airbus Flight Academy, including two Electronic Flight Instrument Systems.
With this new partnership, CPaT’s products and services will now be represented in Indonesia, including its training courses, which will be utilized by cadets at Perkasa Flight School.
