The V9000 Commander cabin fire + smoke trainer Middle East Airlines (MEA) ordered from Flame Aviation in June 2017 is now installed at the carrier’s new training center at Rafik Hariri International Airport in Beirut.
Middle East Airlines, the national carrier of Lebanon, is the first airline in the region to take delivery of the product. It now has the capability to train for virtually all possible in-flight fire scenarios, including lithium-ion battery fires.
“We have chosen the most advanced equipment currently available in the market to make sure MEA can offer the best training now and in the future,” stated Mohamad El Hout, MEA’s Chairman and Director General.
Robin Pijnaker, Managing Director of Flame Aviation, commented, “We are proud that our fire training equipment will be an integral part of the state-of-the-art training facility that MEA is currently realising.”
