Moog Inc. has announced updates to its motion systems, the all-electric E60 Series and the electro-pneumatic P60 Series. Both systems are now available globally and are designed to support simulation across aviation, vehicle, and maritime training, with a load capacity of up to 14,000 kilograms.
“Our redesigned motion systems improve reliability, simplify maintenance, and enable operators the flexibility to adapt to evolving technologies,” said Noud van Bavel, Global Marketing Manager, Simulation & Test at Moog.
The E60 is Moog’s largest standard electric motion system, offering multiple actuator stroke lengths up to 62.5 inches. It is a fully electric 6-DOF platform with integrated diagnostics to support Level D flight training and other precision simulation applications.
The P60 combines electro-mechanical actuators with pneumatic support to reduce energy use while delivering accurate motion cues. Optimized for Full Flight Simulator applications, it provides efficiency improvements compared to fully electric systems. The P60 design incorporates field-replaceable shocks and a maintenance-free lock spring system, further reducing operational demands.
Both systems are intended to improve motion fidelity and long-term performance in professional training environments. These technologies expand the range of solutions available to training centers and operators worldwide.
