L3 signs new training agreement with Aer Lingus

L3 Commercial Aviation has been selected by Aer Lingus toprovide Full Flight Simulator (FFS) training at the newly developed L3 LondonTraining Center at Gatwick in the U.K.

The new two-year agreement will provide Aer Lingus with morethan 2,000 hours of simulator availability on the latest state-of-the-art L3RealitySeven devices to support the airline’s recurrent training program andrecruitment strategy.

Eamon Kierans, training manager at Aer Lingus said, “Thesupport they provide will play an important role in increasing our pilottraining capacity, in line with our fleet expansion and ensuring that wecontinue to offer our pilots the highest-quality training.”

The training will take place at L3’s new London TrainingCenter. As well as an extensive range of high-end training devices, the modernfacility includes classrooms and briefing rooms that provide a contemporary andprogressive training environment for both aspiring and experienced pilots.
