AEgis Technologies won the U.S. Army’s Synthetic Environment Core (SE Core) program contract as a subcontractor to Leidos. This five-year, $210,000,000 program enables an interoperable Synthetic Environment (SE) for simulation and training programs.

The SE Core program focuses on delivering software to enable a common correlated SE for Warfighters to train for full spectrum operations. The program’s terrain and model development provide non-proprietary; open format; and image-generator independent SE deliverables of terrain databases, models and simulation architecture connectivity to meet Warfighter operational training requirements. These efforts, linking current and future training devices and simulations, enable the Army to execute combined arms and joint training across complex terrain, as well as mission planning and rehearsals.

The AEgis 3D modeling team is the exclusive developer of the Common Moving Models (CM2) for the SE Core program. AEgis is also the primary developer of 3D database models and will provide overall management of the SE Core program’s 3D modeling team.
