Recently, QuantaDyn purchased 51 MetaVR Virtual Reality Scene Generator (VRSG) software licenses for 24 US Air Force desktop training systems, called Joint Terminal Control (JTC) Training and Rehearsal System (TRS) desktop systems. These training systems will be installed at ACC, AFSOC, PACAF and AETC units to support the US National Defense Strategy by simulating realistic close-air-support planning, coordination and execution in a networked virtual world.

These 24 JTC TRS desktop systems are based on QuantaDyn’s DT100 (Desktop Trainer 100) system, which provides three distinct stations (instructor, student and pilot/role player) that allow for a modular setup within a 10-by-9-foot small training area. The JTC TRS desktop system uses MetaVR 3D content and VRSG for the real-time 3D visualization of the battlespace, while friendly and opposing forces are simulated by the Battlespace Simulations’ Modern Air Combat Environment (MACE).
