SIMETRIVPS

Simetri has selected three distinguished modeling, simulation and technology experts for its executive team, who will lead Simetri’s expansion from medical training to the full spectrum of simulation and training technology. Simetri promoted two of its valued team members, Tom Seland and Ed Stadler, who will take the positions of vice president operations and vice president engineering, respectively. They will join Brian Holmes, who was recently hired as vice president business development.

A former Navy Lieutenant Commander and Naval Aviator whose service included leadership roles in aviation maintenance and curriculum development, Tom Seland is now Simetri’s vice president operations. In this role, he will oversee strategic, financial, and operational leadership for the company.

Seland held a number of key roles for the U.S. Navy before joining Simetri. As a program manager on the USS Gerald R. Ford, Seland was responsible for maintenance, operations, and training for the Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System. His experience also includes positions with an emphasis in operations, training, and simulation, including program manager, flight operations manager, curriculum developer, contracting representative, and quality assurance manager.

Edward Stadler, promoted to vice president engineering, has 27 years of experience in the simulation and training industry. As director of engineering for Simetri, Stadler led the research and development efforts for medical training technologies. He began his career in simulation with an internship at the Institute for Simulation and Training while earning his Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Central Florida. After college, Stadler supported the full life cycle development and production of simulation systems and products and served in lead technical and engineering roles.

In his new position, Stadler will use his vast experience with complex simulation and training programs to support the Simetri’s growth into the full spectrum of training technologies as he oversees the company’s technology and research and development divisions.

“Simetri is now offering our engineering capabilities to a wider variety of simulation and training domains, and I’ve enjoyed applying my experience in modeling, simulation and training to grow Simetri’s offerings for other customers in LVC simulation, Chemical Engineering and even Network Engineering and Cybersecurity,” said Stadler.

Known for developing innovative solutions that benefit warfighters, Brian Holmes, recently hired as vice president business development, will lead SimetrI’s growth and development efforts as the company continues to deliver products and services that enhance the human experience.

With a career spanning more than 33 years in the simulation and training industry, Holmes has extensive experience in a wide range of disciplines including engineering, business development, capture management, sales, marketing, and operations.

Holmes achieved a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master of Science degree in Industrial Engineering with an emphasis in simulation and training from the University of Central Florida.  He began his career working for the government, first at the Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division and then Program Executive Office Simulation, Training, and Instrumentation. Holmes also served in a wide range of critical modeling, simulation, and training roles in the corporate sector.
