ICARE Training Center, based in Morlaix, France, signed a contract with AMST for an AIRFOX Level D Full Flight Simulator for the Airbus A320 Std2.1 CEO/NEO for type rating and recurrent training.

The signing ceremony took place on the opening day of EATS 2022 on 8 November 2022.

"(We) need to explore and develop new markets and we have made the choice to integrate a brand new A320 simulator to support the growing demand on that type of aircraft," said Philippe Goetz, CEO and Accountable Manager of ICARE Training Center.

AMST, an Austrian-based provider of aircrew training solutions, will deliver the device in September 2023.

"It makes us very proud to partner with ICARE and we appreciate their confidence in AMST's products and services," said Rainer Schlüsselberger, Shareholder of AMST and Managing Director of the Aviation business unit. "We established an excellent relationship, which is the first and most important step of successfully implementing this project together. We are looking forward to a long-lasting partnership."

Created in 1991 as the ATO of BritAir, a French regional airline based in Morlaix, Brittany, France, ICARE is an EASA approved ATO (Approved Training Organization) and MTO (Maintenance Training Organization), providing training to Cockpit Crews, Cabin Crews, Maintenance and other Ground Personnel for airline and individual customers.

Previously trading as as Hop! Training, in October 2022 the company changed to ICARE and now operates as a stand-alone, customer-driven, management-owned company and is no longer affiliated with Hop! Airline nor the Air France-KLM Group.
