One of the most popular sessions at the World Aviation Training Summit (WATS) – the Airline Training Leaders Panel – will feature a cross-section of flight training experts from around the world this year. Representatives will include veterans from North America, Latin America, Europe, and Asia, as well as leaders from two major commercial aviation organizations. WATS 2024 is being held 30 April – 2 May in Orlando, Florida.

The Airline Training Leaders Panel on Wednesday, 1 May, is comprised of:

Jean-Michel Bigarré, Founder & President, Aircraft Manufacturers Flight Training Association (AMFTA), whose members are Airbus, Boeing, Comac and Embraer.

William McDonald, Managing Director, Flight Operations, Airlines for America, whose carrier members are Alaska, American, Atlas, Delta, FedEx, Hawaiian, JetBlue, Southwest, United, UPS, and Air Canada.

Michael Dee, Managing Director, Flight Operations, Republic Airways, representing US regional airlines.

Jorge Reyes, Training Director, Copa Airlines, representing carriers from Latin America and the Caribbean.

Christof-J. Kemény, TRI / Senior TRE, Lufthansa Cityline, representing European operators.

Ping Lee, Chief Pilot, EVA Airways, on behalf of airlines in Asia-Pacific.

The panel will be moderated by Paul Preidecker, President of the National Association of Flight Instructors (NAFI), and Rick Adams, Chair of the Pilot Training Conference at WATS.
