Five years after a Category 5 hurricane tore through Tyndall Air Force Base on Florida’s Panhandle, Booz Allen Hamilton has been working to create a digital twin of the 14-square-mile installation.
This September 21, the Royal Norwegian Air Force dramatically expanded the mission envelope of F-35As, with two of its F-35As landing on a highway in vicinity Tervo, Finland. Lt. This is the first in a series of short articles on developments in flight simulation training devices for military, human-in-the-cockpit, rotary- and fixed wing aircraft. These articles will include “deep dives,” highlighting innovations in the devices themselves and in their underpinning technology foundations. The training devices in these articles will be randomly selected from military training enterprises around the globe.
U.S. Air Force and Archer will begin training Air Force pilots and personnel on Archer's eVTOL aircraft capabilities through flight simulation before advancing to piloted flight testing with Archer’s Midnight aircraft.
The pilot on board campaign was led by Joby Chief Test Pilot James Denham and was designed to gather data on the aircraft’s handling qualities and pilot control interfaces, supporting the development of the aircraft and laying the groundwork for future credit testing as part of the certification program with the Federal Aviation Administration.
