Five years after a Category 5 hurricane tore through Tyndall Air Force Base on Florida’s Panhandle, Booz Allen Hamilton has been working to create a digital twin of the 14-square-mile installation.

At a small office park on the east side of Orlando, Florida, a group of companies that build simulators and display technology showed off something new. It was a behind-the-scenes look at the technology that produces some of the more impressive visuals that modern training simulators display.
“Before the war, everyone in Ukraine thought simulation was a game,” said Michael Obod, an entrepreneur whose Ukraine-based Skiftech builds tactical simulation programs. “But they are very serious now and understand how to utilize it.”
