WATS 2016 Opens In Orlando

WATS 2016 – World Aviation Training Conference and Tradeshow – the world's largest meeting of aviation training professionals, is underway in Orlando, Florida. WATS offers an independent and informative conference along with the sector's biggest tradeshow.

The conference theme is “Optimizing Blended Learning and Training Technology” and this year's conference streams include more than 100 carefully selected presentations from some of the world's leading aviation training personalities. This year WATS will feature five conference streams, including World Airline Pilot Training, Regional Airline Pilot Training, Cabin Crew Training, Maintenance Training and Helicopter Aviation Training.

The WATS 2016 tradeshow will be bigger and more varied than ever, with helicopter as well as fixed wing training providers, equipment and simulator manufacturers, software and content providers, plus airlines and representatives from regulators.

WATS – Day 1 Kicks Off!If you are new to WATS, welcome – and if you’re returning to WATS, it’s great to have you join us again! More than 1,000 participants from nearly 400 organizations will be working together to make WATS 2016 successful for everyone.

If you haven’t registered yet, make sure you register early this morning – between 8 - 8:30 a.m. – as it gets very crowded closer to 9 a.m., and you don’t want to miss the first keynote: Michael Huerta, FAA Administrator. No one will be allowed in to the conference or exhibition hall without a badge, so registering early is important!

Be sure to pick up a Pocket Guide for an “at a glance guide” to the entire event. They are available at the registration desk. The program is intense and the exhibit hall is busy, so be sure to come and relax at the WATS Networking Reception in the exhibit hall from 5:45 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
