BAA-training-CAE-simulators

BAA Training is to acquire two Airbus A320 full flight simulators (FFS) and one Boeing 737NG FFS from CAE.

The first A320 simulator will be deployed in Vilnius, Lithuania in July 2018 before the 737NG simulator starts operations there in October 2018. The second A320 FFS will be housed in a new BAA Training facility in Asia, which is due to open by the end of 2018.

Each of the three CAE 7000XR Series FFS will be equipped with CAE’s Tropos 6000XR visual system.

With this acquisition, BAA Training will operate four FFS in Lithuania and one in Asia, offering its training clients access to over 90 full-flight simulators in total through its partner network.

To respond to the growing demand for type rating training caused by an increasing number of Ab Initio students at BAA Training, the company says it’s planning to acquire more full-flight simulators by 2022.

“To cater to the demand for aviation training of local regional market and CIS countries, we are further expanding our capacities at the headquarters,” explained Egle Vaitkeviciute, CEO of BAA Training. “With the acquisition of new training equipment, we are making strategic moves to offer our clients from Lithuania and the neighbouring countries a favourable training location and the infrastructure of the highest standards.”

BAA Training is exhibiting at EATS 2017 on booth #415.
