The Flyco Group’s consulting development team is working with Corendon Airlines’ training department to create and deploy an Evidence-Based Training (EBT) programme.
Flyco will design an IT solution combining training data with other sources of safety data to better structure Corendon’s operations training and evaluation programme and meet ICAO guidance for the EBT programme.
The system will provide a Competency-Based Adaptive E-learning programme with tailored courses based on numerous factors, such as pre-test scoring of the user and other data and parameters. It will be integrated into Flyco’s Advanced Learning Management System (A-LMS) and used by Corendon Airlines’ pilots, cabin crew and ground staff as part of their E-training.
Flyco says the new EBT system will provide the airline with valuable insight into training quality and effectiveness while allowing training department to assess their training material and evaluate individual results both short- and long-term.
“We have always been quite satisfied with Flyco’s training software and systems. Therefore, we are excited to begin the EBT journey with a strong partner such as Flyco. There is no doubt that both their expertise and know-how about aviation training will be crucially beneficial throughout the development and the deployment phase of our new project,” commented Ahmet Ozkan, Training Manager of Corendon Airlines.
Ergin Erdin, Flyco Group’s CEO, stated, “We are delighted to announce this new joint venture with Corendon Airlines and truly looking forward to working closely with the Corendon team in taking solid steps forward in aviation training. The EBT concept is rather new to aviation training and we are aiming to offer an innovative and more effective approach to the aviation companies we work with.”
“Our new adaptive e-learning based system will enable users to receive more efficient training by containing modules tailored to their knowledge gaps about any specific topic,” added Roger Coleman, Director of Training & Standards at Flyco Group. “The interaction and engagement of the user with the course is of paramount importance here and the aim in developing our new solution as part of our learning management platform. It will also add very effective training data for the EBT solution.”
Coleman will deliver a presentation at EATS 2017 on ‘Competency-Based (Adaptive) E-Learning’ as part of the ‘New Learning Challenges’ session in the Pilot Conference stream at 14:00 on 1 November.
