Alsim has sold an AL250 simulator to Chennai, India-based Orient Flight School, which will be installed at its Orient Flights Aviation Academy facility this autumn.
Following a Memorandum of Understanding earlier this year, Orient Flight School is now Alsim’s official Indian Demo Center, showcasing the company’s product range at its academy. Mike Tonkin, Alsim’s Business Development Director, explained, “We are very pleased to start this new partnership project with Orient Flight School using such a great tool. The company already owned an Alsim device and renewed its confidence in Alsim. This is really the beginning of a big project for the Indian region, and the first steps of a great collaboration between our two companies.”
Alsim’s AL250 was launched by Alsim in 2016 and is qualified by EASA and the FAA. The FNPT II & AATD simulator addresses initial phase training needs (PPL, CPL, IR/ME) and is SEP/MEP reconfigurable. In addition, it offers both classic and glass instrumentation.
“We were very impressed by ALSIM,” commented Anand Jacob Verghese, Orient Flight School’s Managing Director and CEO. “We’ve been working with Alsim for over 15 years now: We know the quality of their flight simulators, and we really appreciate the quality of their after-sales service.”
Orient Flight School provides DGCA approved courses including: DGCA CAR 66 B1 or B2 3 Years Aircraft Maintenance Engineering course; EASA Part 66 B1 and/or B2 5 Years Structured Type Training AME Course (A320 / B737); BSc Aircraft Maintenance; and BSc Aeronautical Science.
