CAE has sold two Boeing 737 full-flight simulators (FFSs) to South Korean low-cost carrier JEJUair.
The CAE 7000XR Series simulators, which will be equipped with the CAE Tropos 6000XR visual system, will be delivered to the CAE Korea training centre (CAE Flight and Simulator Services Korea Ltd.), where they will be provided with maintenance services.
CAE Korea currently operates six FFSs at its training centre at Gimpo Airport covering Boeing 737NG, Airbus A320, A330 and Cessna M2 aircraft platforms. Although CAE instructors have been delivering training to JEJUair since 2015, these sales mark the carrier’s first purchases of CAE FFSs.
“As the demand for pilots is on the rise in the Asia Pacific region, it truly is a privilege to support the growing training needs of JEJUair and expand our partnership with the fast-growing Korean airline,” added Nick Leontidis, CAE's Group President, Civil Aviation Training Solutions.
