one-G simulation’s Swiss12 simulator, based on the Pilatus PC-12, has received certification as an Advanced Aviation Training Device (AATD) from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

The development of the simulator was a custom project undertaken by one-G’s Creative Solutions Studio with the objective of reducing the cost of a Part 135 operator’s training programme by enabling them to perform pilot and crew training at their own location.

one-G installed the Swiss12 simulator at the operator’s Utah-based facility through a turn-key process including crating, shipping and site-specific logistics. Once installation was complete, final system diagnostics and settings were remotely confirmed by one-G’s technical staff at its Seattle headquarters.

Like one-G’s line of other FAA-approved AATD’s, the Swiss12 is model-specific, emulating the precise flight characteristics, instrumentation, systems, and cockpit ergonomics of the PC-12.

one-G simulation’s CEO, Xylon Saltzman, commented, “With our first Swiss12 installation complete, one-G has again demonstrated its ability to successfully execute a custom project, remaining on schedule and on budget throughout the process. In 2011, we began as a customer service-focused company and the culmination of this installation is reminder of our success in that realm.”
