Xavier Colognac has joined CEFA Aviation as VP Sales from his previous role as European Sales Manager at TRU Simulation + Training.

Colognac is now responsible for sales of the company’s flight data software, CEFA Flight Animation System (FAS), as well as developing CEFA Aviation’s commercial strategy, promoting the company’s growth by boosting turnover, exploring the potential of international markets and maintaining the loyalty of its client base of over 80 airlines.

Before joining TRU Simulation + Training, Colognac spent five years as a Client Support Engineer and then a Project Manager in software development and support for the avionics division of Safran Electronics & Defense. He then went on to spend four years as the company’s Sales and Marketing Manager for Europe and Russia.

Dominique Mineo, CEO of CEFA Aviation, stated, “With Xavier’s business and engineering acumen and his training and safety expertise, he is the ideal person to manage our development strategy. And with his approachable personality, Xavier is a very welcome addition to the CEFA team.”

Colognac is an engineering graduate who studied at IPSA Paris in Ivry-sur-Seine, a college that specialises in aeronautical and space systems.

Elsehwhere, CEFA recently launched CEFA Aviation Mobile Services (AMS) to deliver feedback to pilots right after landing.
