The Airbus Asia Training Centre (AATC) in Singapore has installed its second Airbus A320 full flight simulator (FFS), bringing the total number of FFSs at the facility to seven.

The new A320 FFS is at Airbus Std. 1.9.1 and can be configured for either CFM or IAE engines. It has recently been qualified by the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) in accordance with ICAO 9625 Edition 3 Level VII.

In the coming months, the FFS will undergo an update to Airbus Std. 2.0 with New Engine Option (NEO) - Pratt & Whitney and CFM Leap engines, as well as the Current Engine Option (CEO). This new A320 FFS will help AATC satisfy the increasing demand from Airbus operators in the region.

Elsewhere, the OEM is currently building another Airbus training centre in India.
