CAE Icelandair Selects New FTD.aero Simulator

CAE Icelandair Flight Training, the training center of Icelandair, has selected an FTD.aero high-fidelity A320 flight training device for its pilot training programme.

The order adds Icelandair to the list of airlines that have chosen FTD.aero devices for airline training.

The simulator will feature a type-specific cockpit and is designed to align with the EASA capability-based framework, taking advantage of its FSTD Capability Signature (FCS). This is intended to allow flexibility and utilization across a range of training tasks under the framework's task-to-tool methodology.
