Dual Certification Sets New Benchmark in Training

UWing Aviation Technology's C172S Flight Training Device (FTD), delivered to Singapore Flying College’s (SFC) training base in Tamworth, Australia, has received dual certification from both the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) and the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) of Australia. This marked the first time a Chinese flight training device manufacturer obtained simultaneous certification from two national civil aviation authorities.

The CAAS certified the device as a Type II Flight Simulation Training Device (FSTD), while the CASA approved it as meeting the requirements for a Category B Synthetic Trainer under its FSD-2 standards.

Singapore Flying College, a flight training institution in the Asia-Pacific region, maintains strict technical and quality requirements for flight training equipment. Established in 1988 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Singapore Airlines, the college has trained more than 3,000 pilots for the global aviation industry.

The dual certification demonstrated the technical capability and reliability of UWing’s equipment and reflected growing recognition of its flight training devices by international flight academies. SFC’s selection of UWing’s system and its approval by both authorities enhanced UWing’s standing in the global simulation market.
