Egnatia Aviation recently welcomed a delegation from Iraqi Airways Training Management, led by Captain Ali Hasan Hadi and Captain Mohammed AlKhafaji. The visit reinforced the ongoing collaboration between Egnatia Aviation and Iraq’s flag carrier, for which Egnatia serves as the exclusive training provider for future pilots.

During the visit, the delegation conducted a comprehensive review of the Iraqi Airways training syllabus to ensure its delivery through Egnatia Aviation’s Airline Integrated Programme. Activities included confirming the integration of Iraqi Airways’ policies and procedures into training manuals, observing check flights to validate instructor standardisation, and meeting with cadets to discuss requirements for transitioning to Iraqi Airways’ flight decks.

The delegation also toured Lydia Aerodrome, experiencing Egnatia Aviation’s infrastructure, including modern aircraft, simulator centres, and on-site maintenance and operational support. The academy provides more than 32,000 flight hours annually.
