Astrom Training Solutions introduced the latest module of its Galaxy Training Management System: the Recurrent Training Plan (RTP). The module streamlines the management of recurrent training compared with traditional TMS platforms.
The RTP framework addresses the complex requirements of recurrent training in the airline industry. It includes a generic recurrency calculation engine capable of managing various qualification cycles, including pilot airport qualifications, maintenance engineer authorizations, and instructor certifications. By enabling automated scheduling and compliance tracking, RTP reduces the administrative workload for airline training departments.
RTP integrates with Quality Management Systems (QMS) to ensure alignment with Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) regulations. Training activities—such as online courses, assessments, instructor-led classes, simulator checks, and line checks—are structured into comprehensive training paths. The module supports dependencies and prerequisites, allowing for organized curricula.
By linking certificates directly to training activities, the RTP and QMS combination provides an automated framework for managing recurrent training. This enables real-time tracking, simplifies compliance oversight, and ensures regulatory alignment. The framework is also aligned with local Regulator and IOSA curricula structures, making audits more efficient. Training departments can generate comprehensive audit reports in just a few clicks.
Astrom Training Solutions will be at The European Aviation Training Summit (EATS) in Cascais, Portugal, from 5- 6 November at booth 412 to share more about their training solutions.
