BAA Training Vietnam has welcomed the first group of Sun PhuQuoc Airways pilot cadets for Airbus A320 Type Rating training, marking the beginning of a new partnership to support the airline's pilot development strategy.
Sun PhuQuoc Airways launched commercial operations in November 2025 and has grown its fleet to 17 aircraft, with further expansion planned. The airline's first intake of 13 cadets began A320 Type Rating training with BAA Training Vietnam at its simulator center in Ho Chi Minh City on August 10, 2026.
The two-month training combines competency-based instruction, advanced simulator sessions, and airline-oriented operational preparation. The A320 Type Rating program meets standards set by both the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV) and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).
