Ad hoc Research and Janus Research Group have announced their new joint venture, Agile Research Group, during the Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation, and Education Conference (I/ITSEC), taking place in Orlando, Florida, from 29 November – 3 December 2021.

The joint venture was created under the Small Business Administration Mentor-Protégé program, with Janus Research Group taking the mentor role. Under this program, mentors provide guidance to their protégés on internal business management systems, accounting, marketing, manufacturing, and strategic planning; assistance navigating federal contract bidding, acquisition, and the federal procurement process; and education on international trade. Meanwhile, the protégé allows the joint venture to qualify for contract set-asides like 8(a) and service-disabled veteran-owned businesses.

“It was a natural progression to create Agile Research Group under the SBA Mentor-Protégé Program and I am confident we will enjoy much success as we join forces to bring the DoD and other federal agencies our important services,” said Pritesh Patel, founder and CEO of Ad hoc Research.

Ad hoc Research is headquartered in downtown Augusta, Georgia, and specializes in cyber analytics, big data, synthetic tactical networks, test & evaluation, modeling and simulation, cyber defense, systems integration, life cycle services, and prototype experimentation. The company is recognized for its success as the prime contractor on the U.S. Army Cyber Battle Lab contract among others.

Located near Augusta, in Evans, Georgia, Janus Research Group provides programmatic services, modeling and simulation, live and virtual training, mission command/tactical communications, distributed simulation/experimentation, specialty engineering, and software development services. Janus is known for being the prime contractor on several key military contracts including the Joint Modernization Command contract, for which Ad hoc Research is a sub-contractor.

“With similar core capabilities and corporate values, Janus and Ad hoc have a history of enhancing service performance for our clients,” said Patel. “Our location in Augusta, Georgia, which is also the home of the Cyber Center of Excellence, will help us pursue opportunities that support our nation’s defense.”

Visitors of I/ITSEC can visit Ad hoc Research at booth #521 and JANUS Research Group at booth #520.
