The French Ministry of the Armed Forces has received two EF-Truck driving simulators from Exail for the Operational Energy Service (SEO). These immersive systems are designed to help military drivers train for complex, multi-domain missions while ensuring safety and efficient resource use.
This delivery marks the first integration of EF-Truck simulators within the SEO and expands Exail’s existing collaboration with the French Armed Forces following previous deployments with the National Gendarmerie and French Army.
The simulators use virtual and mixed-reality environments to replicate operational conditions and enable repeated training in high-risk or demanding scenarios. They aim to reduce wear on real vehicles, lower maintenance costs, and limit environmental impact, while supporting mission safety and readiness.
Captain Georges, Head of the Driving Training Center at the Inter-Service Petroleum Base, said: “These simulators are a strategic asset for driver training. Their realism and immersive capabilities directly enhance the safety and effectiveness of our missions.”
Exail plans to upgrade the EF-Truck systems to Unreal Engine 5 in 2026 to maintain alignment with evolving defense requirements.
