New Managing Director Joins UK Flight Training

Ascent Flight Training has appointed Chloe Barker as its new Managing Director. Barker joins the company from Babcock International Group, where she has worked since 2014, developing a career within Defence Support, particularly in the aviation sector. 

Since August 2023, she served as Managing Director of Babcock’s UK Aviation business, delivering aviation services to both defence and civil sectors. Barker has also served as a Non-Executive Director on the Board of Ascent, giving her a strong understanding of the company and its involvement with the UK’s Military Flying Training System (UKMFTS). Her appointment reflects her experience in aviation operations and strategic leadership across defence and emergency services.

Ascent’s teams across the UK will welcome Barker to the business early in November, where she will take on leadership responsibilities as Managing Director.
