Adacel Technologies Limited (Adacel) has been awarded a contract by CAE in delivering the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Future Air Mission Training System (F-AMTS) Air Traffic Control (ATC) training under Project AIR5428 Phase 3.

Adacel will supply its MaxSim ATC simulation platform, incorporating speech recognition, weather modelling, and online learning technologies. The F-AMTS is intended to provide an integrated training environment for RAAF mission aircrew and air traffic controllers.

Adacel CEO Daniel Verret described the F-AMTS as a significant step forward in how Australia trains its mission aircrew and controllers, noting that the MaxSim ATC technology is developed and sustained by an Australian company, with the aim of giving RAAF controllers and instructors access to an immersive and future-ready simulation environment.
