SKIFTECH Signs Malaysian Military Training Deal

Ukrainian developer and manufacturer of military training systems SKIFTECH has signed a supply contract with Malaysian defence company Grayline for equipment supporting a pilot force-on-force training programme in Malaysia.

Production is already underway in Ukraine, while export-control documentation is being prepared. 

The contract follows a Memorandum of Understanding signed by SKIFTECH and Grayline during Eurosatory 2026 in Paris, marking SKIFTECH's first entry into the Malaysian market.

The equipment will support an initial force-on-force training programme, letting personnel train against other participants while practising movement, communication, decision-making and combat coordination. SKIFTECH systems simulate engagements, record training events and provide instructors with data for After-Action Review.

Grayline said: "Grayline selected SKIFTECH because its solutions offer a strong balance of cost, quality, technological capability and practical training value. The cooperation will allow Malaysian military personnel to conduct force-on-force tactical training and practise combat skills against other participants in a controlled and safe environment."

SKIFTECH operates in the live military training and simulation segment, alongside companies such as Saab, Cubic and Rheinmetall. The Ukrainian manufacturer develops hardware, software and systems for individual and collective military training, including solutions for infantry, weapons systems, drones, counter-drone scenarios, and After-Action Review.

SKIFTECH said: "The equipment is currently in production, while the required documentation is being prepared for submission to the Ukrainian export control authorities. The first programme will allow the systems to be evaluated in practice and help determine the next steps for wider implementation."
