The U.S. Navy has awarded Vertex Solutions a follow-on contract to produce and deliver thirteen T-6B Immersive Training Device (ITD) Part Task Trainers, expanding the Navy’s growing fleet of next-generation training systems.

This marks the second Delivery Order issued on the single-award XR STASC IDIQ and continues Vertex’s SBIR Phase III transition supporting the U.S. Navy.

Under this new award, Vertex will deliver 13 XR ITDs and 50 modernization retrofit kits designed to bring existing Navy ITDs to a common, updated configuration. Retrofit packages will be fielded across NAS Corpus Christi and NAS Whiting Field, ensuring consistent performance and readiness across two of the Navy’s busiest undergraduate pilot training locations. All deliveries are scheduled over a 12-month performance period.

This expanded effort accelerates the Navy’s transition to scalable, cost-effective XR training, delivering higher throughput for T-6B pilot production, reducing traditional training bottlenecks, and strengthening the Navy’s ability to meet future pilot demand.

“This award strengthens the Navy’s XR training ecosystem and reinforces the value of scalable hardware, modern software architecture, and continuous technology refresh,” said Chris Whitty, Chief Growth Officer, Vertex Solutions.

Vertex said it looked forward to delivering these ITDs in close collaboration with its partners, including Varjo, RYAN AEROSPACE, TakeFlight, and ASTi.
