Merlin Flight Simulation Group’s IT FLIES USA was another closely contested competition this year. Judged by Test Pilots Gary Konnert, Frank Delsing and Aaron Tucker, the competition drew an interesting and varied selection of aircraft designs from university students, which were flown and assessed on The University of Dayton’s MP521 flight simulator.
Merlin Flight Simulation Group installed a new motion based MP521 simulator on a six axis electric motion system at The Department of Aerospace Engineering, in the Faculty of Science and Engineering at Swansea University.
Merlin Flight Simulation Group will be upgrading the MP521 motion simulator at The University of Manchester, England, with the latest Diamond Visionics Genesis visual graphics, and the Merlin S’Fun Matlab interface software.
The School of Engineering at Swansea University has ordered a second motion based MP521 Academic Engineering Flight Simulator from Merlin Flight Simulation Group.
Merlin Fight Simulation Group have recently completed the installation of two MP525 dual seat, motion based, and two MP500-1 fixed base Academic Engineering Flight Simulators at the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
