QWR Interactive Solutions and Kaynes Technology India have announced a partnership to co-develop and manufacture XR headsets and smart glasses entirely in India. QWR will contribute its designs, intellectual property, and calibration protocols, while Kaynes will oversee production through newly established SMT and optical calibration lines. The collaboration is expected to create over 1,000 skilled jobs by 2027 and reduce India’s reliance on imported XR components by 40–50%.

The initiative supports sectors such as defense, education, enterprise training, and industrial automation with AI-integrated spatial computing devices built locally. By establishing a domestic XR manufacturing ecosystem, the partnership strengthens India’s capabilities in next-generation XR production and export potential.
