zSpace announced two new augmented reality applications aimed at supporting training in electric and hybrid vehicle technologies. The release comes as the automotive industry continues to transition toward new energy vehicles, requiring updated training methods in service and repair.
The Electric Vehicle Maintenance application allows learners to develop skills in diagnosing faults and performing safety procedures specific to electric vehicles. Through virtual simulations, students can practice component recognition, conduct inspections, and work through scenarios without the risks or costs of real equipment.
The Electric and Hybrid Vehicle Structure Technology application provides an interactive view of how electric and hybrid systems operate. Using 3D models and animations, students can examine engines, powertrains, transmissions, and other structural components to gain a deeper understanding of automotive systems.
Both applications are compatible with zSpace AIO and Inspire systems and offer features such as multilingual support, exploded views, and animated workflows for powertrain, suspension, and steering systems. Deployment is available through the zSpace App Manager with flexible licensing options.
