New Framework Enhances Coal Mining Safety

Researchers have developed a new framework to enhance safety in coal mining by integrating digital twin technology with predictive modeling. This approach aims to optimize safety investments and improve operational efficiency by providing real-time simulations of mining environments. Traditional safety investment methods often rely on subjective judgments, but this new framework uses data-driven and model-driven strategies to predict risks more accurately. 

A case study demonstrated that the integration of these technologies reduced accident losses by over 11%, highlighting their potential to transform safety management in the mining industry. Further research is encouraged to refine and expand the model.
