Responding to feedback from our aviation community, APATS 2025's cabin crew conference programme has been designed with a focus on interactive, practical sessions that place delegates at the centre of the discussion. This year's format ensures participants leave Singapore with tangible tools and frameworks they can immediately implement within their organisations.
The "Blue Skies Thinking" workshop, scheduled for 26-27 August, will be led by Katharine Ng, Head of Training at OneCrew and a recognised specialist in Aviation Human Factors. Katharine brings considerable expertise to the role, having begun her aviation career as a flight attendant with Singapore Airlines and Cathay Pacific Airways before spending eight years in Cathay Pacific's Human Factors Department. She subsequently co-founded Viva Macau Airlines and helped shape safety programmes at Cebu Pacific Air.
The workshop's structure spans two sessions, beginning on 26 August from 4:30-6:00 PM and concluding the following morning from 9:00-10:30 AM. This format is designed to allow participants time to reflect between sessions whilst working towards creating tangible outcomes they can implement within their organisations.
Register for APATS 2025!Part one focuses on "future casting" using systematic Blue Skies thinking methodology. Participants will examine future landscape possibilities whilst challenging existing assumptions about cabin crew training. The overnight break provides delegates with time to process these concepts before returning for part two, which conducts a comparative analysis between future possibilities and current realities, identifying practical steps to bridge identified gaps.
Supporting Katharine as table facilitators are Audrey Ann Ambrosio, Manager of Customer Service at Cebu Pacific Air, and Dr Mizuki Urano, an Aviation Safety Advocate.
The broader cabin crew conference programme, which is sponsored by Spatial, addresses critical industry topics including instructor standardisation, security training with particular focus on trafficking issues, crew selection methodologies, and future communication challenges. Trevor Jensen returns to serve as conference moderator, bringing his expertise to guide discussions throughout the programme.
This practical approach aligns with APATS 2025's commitment to delivering actionable outcomes that delegates can immediately apply within their organisations, ensuring the conference's impact extends well beyond the Singapore venue.
We look forward to seeing and hearing from you in Singapore!
