ForgeFX Simulations has launched VORTEX, a virtual reality mission rehearsal ecosystem designed for complex, high-risk operations across multiple sectors. Initially piloted in a defense scenario, VORTEX now supports disaster response, energy, manufacturing, and infrastructure training, offering teams a safe, repeatable way to prepare for critical procedures.

The system combines LiDAR-scanned environments, GIS-enabled sand tables, procedural equipment simulation, and AI-driven guidance. Trainees plan and execute missions using real-world terrain and interact with accurate virtual replicas of physical equipment. AI subject matter experts provide contextual guidance and feedback during exercises without disrupting immersion.

VORTEX’s modular design supports deployment across multiple VR and mixed-reality platforms, including Meta Quest and Microsoft HoloLens 2. Organizations can monitor user performance with integrated analytics and tailor training to address specific skill gaps. The platform aims to improve readiness, reduce risk, and accelerate response.
